Over the Weekend of June 27 – 29, teams from St Lucia, Antigua, St. Kitts& Nevis, Tortola and Dominica converged on Tortola for the 3rd Annual Regional Invitational Netball Competition. The intense competition which lasted over a three-day period was organized on a Round Robin basis, with games taking place in the evening and morning.
The B. J. Nets netball team is a great mix of experience and youth. The team for the torunament inclusive of management were as follows.
Though B. J Nets got off to a shaky start, losing to High Lighters of Nevis and Shamrocks of St Lucia, they bounced back to secure victories over all three teams from Tortola. The scores in those matches were:
B. J. Nets also shattered the dreams of two-time champions, Courts Eagles of Antigua. This defeat was a first for the Eagles who boasted of an undefeated record from the inception of the tournament. The final score in the match was 18 –15.
In addition, the teams shoot Lisa James won the shooting competition and Rosemary Balsam received the trophy for the Best Defender of the tournament.

The tournament which is in its third year is organized by the All Stars Netball Club of Tortola. B. J. Nets of Marigot has been a part of the tournament for the past two years. Newcomers Shamrocks of St Lucia emerged Champions, while the B.J. Nets edged out Courts Eagles on goal difference to capture the second place trophy.
The team would like to thank all those who supported their participation in the tournament. This was made possible through team organized fund raisers, indiviual members financing their travel costs and contirbutions from commuity members and organisations such as-Marigot Cooperative Credit Union, Grenville PPrevost, Marigot Development Corporation, Richard Robinson a.k.a Richie, Winston Springer a.k.a Ben and Jeffery Charles.
